Prerna is a dual qualified lawyer based in London. She manages the U.K. related work and co-ordinates with the India office. She is a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales and is registered as an advocate with the Bar Council in India. She is a corporate lawyer with extensive in-house legal experience in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors (“Projects”) with multinationals such as the Tata Group in India and Lanco in the U.K.
She has comprehensive commercial and legal experience in cross–border transactions within UK, EMEA and India. Her Projects involved high value commercial contracts, such as non-disclosure agreements, share purchase agreements, shareholder’s agreements, construction related contracts such as engineering procurement construction agreement, operation and maintenance agreements, sub-contract and procurement agreements and credit facility related documents. Her strong suit is the broad range of commercial, legal and strategy experience that she has gained over the years.
She has a high premium on providing pre-emptive legal support with a focus on contract drafting, project finance, real estate, infrastructure projects and compliances. Being extensively involved in the Projects, due diligence was an important and integral activity that she conducted which involved preparing reports for the management. Negotiations with third parties and other stakeholders has been a vital part of her work. She has been reckoned as a valuable resource with strong written and verbal skills.
Having returned from a planned career break to care for her young children, she feels she has learnt many skills in these years which could definitely be utilised in professional life! In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family.
