Professional Experience

Shweta is an Associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and she holds a Bachelor’s Honours degree in Commerce from Banaras Hindu University, in addition to being a Law graduate. Her extensive professional background encompasses various aspects of corporate law, corporate advisory, and expertise in dealing with regulatory matters involving RBI, FEMA, and SEBI.

With substantial experience, Shweta has successfully managed complex transaction advisory services, company incorporations, joint-venture formation, restructuring, Mergers & Acquisitions, and company closures. She actively engages in providing legal opinions on matters related to company law, the FEMA Act, and similar areas. Shweta has also worked on the technical aspects of Foreign Direct Investments, outward deals, and the establishment of Branch, Project & Liaison Offices. Her responsibilities extend to advising foreign companies on various FEMA issues impacting their entry into the Indian market.

Additionally, Shweta is actively involved in corporate due diligence processes and has a proven track record of effectively liaising and representing companies before regulatory authorities, including the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Registrar of Companies, and the Reserve Bank of India.
